Mengele in auschwitz!
As Mengele was transferred to Germany’s finest concentration camp, this was when Mengele started to gain his sensational popularity. Mengele was non-stop getting a name for himself as he became the medical officer of Auschwitz-Birkenau and a 9 months later he became chief medical officer. Mengele had stood out from the other SS doctors at the Auschwitz concentration camp. Not only he had a more complex understanding of medicine in his mind, but he was the only doctor who served in the army and the only doctor who had won two iron crosses and several badges obtained during the war in the army. Not only did Mengele have the best military background and knowledge about medicine compared to the other SS doctors, he was the most fearless doctor out of all of them and everyone in the concentration camp and even the doctors feared his horrendous reputation of being a fears man who would do anything it takes to test his limits even if it meant killing innocent people. This was first seen by people as he ordered the deaths of 1000 gypsy males and females that were infected with typhus, which was a critical disease. He later then used the Jewish people at Auschwitz as an opportunity to conduct human experiments as he thought that their lives were worthless. To the left of this page you can see a photo of the Auschwitz concentration camp. As you can see there were electric fences. Nobody could have escaped.
